Monday QUITO or GUAYAQUIL (✈) / SAN CRISTOBAL
● Flight to San Cristobal Island
● Arrival at San Cristobal reception at the airport by your local guide.
Upon arrival at the San Cristobal Airport, passengers will go through an inspection to ensure that no animal or plant species is introduced into the Archipelago, then you must pay the $ 100 usd entrance fee to the National Park. Your guide will assist you with baggage claim and lead you to the dock for boarding.

● Visit of Cerro Colorado
The Cerro Colorado Turtle Protection and Breeding Center, located approximately 40 minutes by bus in the southeast of the island, was built to improve the status of the islands' turtle population. The center includes a large corral, a visitor center, a breeding center and an interpretive trail. Along this trail, it is possible to see different species of native and endemic plants, as well as birds such as the San Cristóbal mockingbird, yellow warblers, many species of finches and the Galapagos flycatcher.
On your visit to Cerro Colorado, you will discover the incredible and iconic Galapagos giant tortoises at the turtle breeding center and perhaps even see a hatching (seasonally). Plus, you'll be able to see how much work is required to save the last local giants of San Cristóbal.

Tuesday: PLAZAS / SANTA FE

Plaza Sur is located east of Santa Cruz Island, and is part of two islands known as Islas Plazas. Despite its small size, some of the most interesting and prominent species in the Galapagos are found here. Plazas land iguanas are smaller than their relatives found on other islands. There are several hybrid iguanas, as a result of the cross between a male marine iguana and a female land iguana; They are unique, recognizable at first glance for their black / gray color, with a terrestrial iguana crest, but the face and tail of the marine iguana. The large population of iguanas is due to the presence of prickly pears, their favorite food. Seagulls and swallows nesting on steep cliffs are seen along with other seabirds such as petrels, tropical birds, frigates, and brown pelicans.

Located in the southeastern part of the Galapagos, this island was formed from an uprising rather than a volcanic origin; this is the reason why it is mainly flat. There are some theories that assure that this could be the oldest island in the archipelago. Santa Fe is home to a number of endemic species such as the Galapagos Falcon, the Galapagos Snake, the Galapagos Nightingale, Rice Rats, and one of the islands' two land Iguana species. After landing in the beautiful, clear waters, you will be in contact with one of the many sea lion colonies. Along the way, you can see many salt bushes, as well as giant cacti. There are great possibilities for snorkelling with playful sea lions and tropical fish

Wednesday FLOREANA: Islote Champion - Lobería - Asilo de la Paz

Bottlenose dolphins frequently accompany our passage to Champion Islote and you can see them from the vicinity jumping the trails. Underwater, the Galapagos sea lions are playful acrobats who become the number one attraction. There are also plenty of reef fish and perhaps some Pacific green turtles.
A boat ride along the shoreline of this islet offers sightings of many seabirds that are endemic to the archipelago, including Galapagos penguins, blue-footed boobies, magnificent frigates, forked gulls, and lava herons.
Bird watchers desire is to take a look at Floreana's mockingbird on top of prickly pear cactus. This mockingbird is a key scientific and historical species, because it put Darwin on the path of his "adaptive radiation" theory.

● Navigation to Asylum of La Paz and Lobería
The site of the Asylum of Peace is a historical interest for visitors. This hike passes through a fascinating cave and visits a fresh water source. La Lobería beach is an ideal place to enjoy the ocean, as well as the playful sea lions that live there.

Thursday SANTA CRUZ: Charles Darwin Station / QUITO
