PRACTICAL INFORMATION AMAZONIA

You should leave most of your personal effects (bags...) in the Office of Puerto Maldonado of our operator: they have to store a small backpack to bring the necessary items to their stay in the Lodge.
It is hot and the weather is humid all year round (daily temperatures of approx. 28oC) with a peak humidity in rainy season (December to March). Provide 2 or 3 garments to be changed as clothing does not dry due to strong humidity.
Privilege light clothing in cotton or linen.
A windbreaker is highly recommended.
For canoeing or boating in the jungle, it is recommended to have a waterproof bag in which you can put your photographic material.
At the Lodge, hot water and electricity are available between 6H00 and 10H00 and between 18H00 and 23h00.
Altough the bungalows are protected, it is preferable to have "repellent" (which they could get without problem in Cusco on the eve of their departure) and anticipate the discomfort by dressing in light clothing but covering as much as possible the body
